Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Hillsboro shall meet in regular session on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Historic City Hall, 127 E. Franklin Street in Hillsboro, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows:
1. Call Meeting to Order.
2. Invocation.
3. Pledge of Allegiance.
4. Hear Statements from Persons Wishing to Address the Council.
Consent Agenda
5. Deliberate and Act on the Approval of the Minutes for the Special and Regular Meetings on July 20, 2010.
6. Act on the Approval of Bills.
Regular Agenda
7. Hear a Presentation From the Hillsboro Professional Fire Fighters Association to Councilmember Birdwell in Regards to the Hillsboro Historic City Hall Water Feature.
8. Deliberate and Act on a Resolution Authorizing the Submission of a 2011/2012 Texas Community Development Block Grant Program Application to the Texas Department of Rural Affairs for the Community Development Block Grant Fund; and Authorizing the Mayor to Act as the City’s Executive Officer and Authorized Representative in all Matters Pertaining to the City’s Participation in the Texas Community Development Block Grant Program. (Tabled July 20, 2010)
9. Deliberate and Act on a Resolution Approving Amendments to the Hillsboro Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Fee Schedule and Bond Procedures, as Requested by the IDC Board of Directors.
10. Deliberate and Act on a Resolution Allowing the Hillsboro Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) to designate the City as its Fiduciary Agent, as Requested by the IDC Board of Directors.
11. Hear and Deliberate on City Manager’s Report.
