NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HILLSBORO WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING AT THE HISTORIC CITY HALL, 127 EAST FRANKLIN STREET, ON MONDAY, MARCH 26, 2012 AT 6:00 P.M. TO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:
1. Review vacating and abandoning a portion of Peabody Street located between Church Street and Pine Street, further described as All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and situated in the McMullen Addition to the City of Hillsboro, being a portion of Peabody Street and being more particularly described as follows;
BEGINNING at a 1/2 inch iron rod found at a corner lying at the intersection of the southerly right of way line of said Peabody Street and the easterly right of way line of Church Street being the northwest corner of Lot 16, Block 62 of said McMullen Addition;
THENCE North 01 degrees 11 minutes 35 seconds West 40.06 feet along the easterly right of way line of said Church Street to a 1/2 inch iron rod set at a corner, being the southwest corner of Lot 5, Block 62 of said McMullen Addition;
THENCE North 84 degrees 51 minutes 17 seconds East 554.28 feet along the northerly right of way line of said Peabody Street to a point lying at the intersection of the northerly right of way line of said Peabody Street and the westerly right of way line of Pine Street;
THENCE South 00 degrees 15 minutes 40.15 feet along the westerly right of way line of said Pine Street to a point lying at the intersection of the westerly right of way line of said Pine Street and the southerly right of way line of said Peabody Street;
THENCE South 84 degrees 51 minutes 17 seconds West (Directional Control) 553.62 feet along the southerly right of way line of said Peabody Street to the point of beginning and containing 0.51 acres of land.
2. Review an Application Submitted by Louis Sims, aka NAPA Auto Parts for a Replat of Lot 16 & 17, Block 62, McMullen Addition becoming of Lot 16R, Block 62, McMullen Addition to the City of Hillsboro, Hill County, Texas.
The City Council will meet in on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, 7:00 p.m. at The Historic City Hall, 127 E. Franklin Street in Hillsboro, Texas to act upon the recommendations of the Commission.
