Summer Reading Program Enjoyed by Record Crowds
More than 200 area children participated in the Hillsboro City Library’s 2012 Summer Reading Program “Get a Clue-at Your Library!” Children in grades 1-5 were encouraged to read library books on their levels to earn incentive prizes. Crowds averaging over 125 children and adults attended weekly programs by special guests. An average of 95 preschool age children and adults enjoyed weekly storytimes, guest readers and take-home crafts. Many thanks to all the guest presenters and teen volunteers who helped make the 2012 Summer Reading Program a success!
