The Hillsboro Main Street Program began in 1981 as one of the original five Texas Main Street programs. The Hillsboro Main Street Program is dedicated to the revitalization of the Downtown Hillsboro commercial district using the program’s four point approach; design, organization, promotion, and economic restructuring.

The Hillsboro Main Street Board envisions downtown as the heart of our community; where we preserve history and enrich the lifestyle of our citizens and visitors.
Our Mission
To promote commercial district revitalization through the context of historic preservation in Downtown Hillsboro using the Main Street Program’s four point approach; design, organization, promotion, and economic restructuring.
The Main Street Program is housed in the City’s Marketing & Development Department and offices in the Historic City Hall, 127 East Franklin Street.
