City Seeking Individuals to Serve on Standing Boards, Commissions and Committees
The Hillsboro City Council is seeking committed individuals who are dedicated to the well-being of the Hillsboro community to serve on its standing boards, commissions, and committees. In general, it is the City Council’s policy to appoint persons to a maximum of three consecutive full two-year terms on a given body. (Exception-EDC members serve two year terms with no limit on the number of consecutive terms) In addition to the general qualifications listed in the certification, other qualifications may be mandated by statute, City Charter, ordinance, or resolution.
The Boards/Commissions/Committees of interest are:
• Airport Advisory Board
• Hillsboro Economic Development Corporation
• Hillsboro Housing Finance Corporation
• Hillsboro Historic Preservation Commission
• Hillsboro Public Housing Authority Board
• Library Board of Trustees
• Main Street Board
• Parks Advisory Board
• Planning & Zoning Commission
• Substandard Building Commission
• Zoning Board of Adjustment
Applications are available at the City Administration Office. Please submit completed applications to: City Secretary, 214 E. Elm Street/P.O. Box 568, Hillsboro, Texas 76645 no later than December 22, 2011.
