The City of Hillsboro is seeking committed individuals who are dedicated to the well-being of the Hillsboro community to serve on its standing boards, commissions, and committees. In general, it is the City Council’s policy to appoint persons to a maximum of three consecutive full two-year terms on a given body. (Exception-Economic Development Corporation members serve two year terms with no limit on the number of consecutive terms)

The Boards/Commissions/Committees of interest are:

· Airport Advisory Board
· Hillsboro Economic Development Corporation
· Hillsboro Housing Finance Corporation
· Hillsboro Historic Preservation Commission
· Hillsboro Public Housing Authority Board
· Library Board of Trustees
· Main Street Board
· Parks Advisory Board
· Planning & Zoning Commission
· Substandard Building Commission
· Zoning Board of Adjustment

Applications are available at the City Administration Office. Please submit completed applications to: City Secretary, 214 E. Elm Street/P.O. Box 568, Hillsboro, Texas 76645.  Appointments will be made at the first regular City Council meeting in January.
