The Texas Historical Commission will present a cemetery preservation workshop on Saturday, August 7th, from 9:00am to 4:00pm at the Historic City Hall, 127 East Franklin Street.  Admission is free.  Guest speakers from the Texas Historical Commission will include Annette Bethke of Historic Texas Cemetery Designation, Casey Gallagher of Record Investigate Program and Anne Shelton, Cemetery Preservation Coordinator.  Topics will include: Historic Texas Cemetery Designations, RIP Guardian Program, Current Trends and Issues, Effective Methods for Sensitive Maintenance, Grave Markers and Cemetery Features.  This workshop is sponsored by the Hill County Historical Commission and the Hill County Genealogical Society.  View a printable flier here.
