Hometown Heroes Kick Off Summer Reading Program
Members of the Hillsboro Fire/Rescue and Hillsboro Police Department visited the Hillsboro City Library on Thursday, June 11th, to kick off the 2009 Summer Reading Program.
Local children talked with the hometown heroes and became acquainted with Gauge the Fire/Rescue dog as they explored two fire engines, an ambulance and a police car.

Children were given bookmarks, balloons, art and activity books, and refreshments. Drinks and handouts were provided by McDonald’s Restaurant of Hillsboro.
