Second Annual Hill County Jamboree Saturday, June 13th
The second annual Hill County Jamboree will be held Saturday, June 13, in Hillsboro and the 1-5-6-0 KHBR “On-The-Go Radio Show” will be there for a remote broadcast. Sponsored by First Central Credit Union, the free event will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the City Park on North Pleasant Street, and KHBR’s Roger Creech will have live reports from the location all three hours. Habitat for Humanity will have a booth, and several churches will have fund raisers. Hot dogs and Dr Pepper products will be available for 50 cents each with all proceeds going to Hillsboro Interfaith Ministries, Inc. There will be a children’s jump house and other kids’ activities, a bicycle safety rodeo and Kirby Kangaroo, mascot for the FCCU Business Youth Club, will be there to greet youngsters. Musical entertainment will be provided by Flat Rock Junction.
