Recycle and Trash Collection

The City of Hillsboro uses a competitive process to select a solid waste contractor.  Then that successful bidder becomes the City’s exclusive solid waste provider.  The City's current exclusive solid waste provider is Republic Services. Republic runs routes throughout the city Monday-Friday. Trash collection takes place throughout the week depending on location. 

All of the City's recycling is collected on Monday.  All routes run as normal except for the below-listed holidays;

• Christmas
• New Year’s Day
• Thanksgiving 

All Residents are asked to have their trash out at the curb no later than 7 a.m. on the day of collection.
