Question: Where is the office of City Administration located?

Answer:

214 E. Elm Street, Hillsboro, TX 76645

Question: Where can I get a copy of the city budget?

Answer:

You can view a copy of the City Budget at the City Administration Building located at 214 E. Elm St. or the City Library Located at 118 S. Waco.
Contact the City Secretary’s Office for information on obtaining a copy at 254-582-3271

Question: When are City Council Meetings held?

Answer:

First and Third Tuesday of every month at the Historic City Hall Located at
127 E. Franklin St. at 7:00 p.m.

Question: How can I contact a City Council member?

Answer:

The City Council Representative for your Precinct is publicly listed in the phone book. If you need to know who represents your area, contact the City Administration Office.

Question: How do I make application to appear before the City Council?

Answer:

Contact the City Secretary’s Office located at the City Administration Building. A Request to put an item on the Agenda must be made to the Secretary’s Office the Thursday of the week before the City Council Meeting Located at 214 E. Elm St. or call 254-582-3271.

Question: May I speak before City Council without being on the agenda?

Answer:

Members of the public may address the City Council during the “Hear Statements from Persons Wishing to Address the Council” and during a public hearing. Speakers must limit their comments to three (3) minutes. The form available at the meeting titled “Request to Appear Before the City Council” must be filled out prior to the beginning of the meeting and given to the City Secretary.

For a guard light on your property you must call your electric provider.
